''Café Society'' is a 2016 American romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Woody Allen. Heywood "Woody" Allen (born Allan Stewart Konigsberg; November 30, 1935) is an American film director, writer, actor, and comedian whose career spans more than six decades and multiple Academy Award-winning films. The Golden Eagle Award for Best Foreign Language Film (russian: Золотой Орёл за лучший зарубежный фильм в российском прокате) is one of twenty award categories presented annually by the National Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences of Russia. It is one of the Golden Eagle Awards, which were established by Nikita Mikhalkov as a counterweight to the annual Nika Awards given by the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences. It is the only category of the Golden Eagle Award that honors non-Russian-language films. Each year, three nominees are selected by the academy.
