Caesar Rodriguez
Caesar Rodriguez is an artist who has worked as a colorist in the comics industry. Biography Rodriguez has been a regular comics reader since he was four years old. In 1989, he opened a comic and magazine shop in Los Angeles. There he met several artists and was doing work painting, creating graphics, sculpture, etc. in a studio in the store. One of these artists included J. D. Smith, a freelance artist who later got work with Dark Horse Comics on their Dracula series. His first published work was as a penciller for Click Comics, where he worked with Joe Casey on ''The Chosen''. Shortly thereafter, he was working with J. D. Smith as his assistant on ''Fathom (comics), Fathom'', ''Spirit of the Tao'', and ''Witchblade'' as a production artist and background colorist. Colorist
In comics, a colorist is responsible for adding color to black-and-white line art. For most of the 20th century this was done using brushes and dyes which were then used as guides to produce the printing plates. Since the late 20th century it is most often done using digital media, with printing separations produced electronically. Although most American colorists work directly for comics publishers (either as employees or freelancers), there are a few coloring studios which offer their services to publishers. American Color, Olyoptics, Digital Chameleon were the companies notable in this field. ''Marvel 1602'' is an eight-issue comic book limited series published in 2003 by Marvel Comics. The limited series was written by Neil Gaiman, penciled by Andy Kubert, and digitally painted by Richard Isanove; Scott McKowen illustrated the distinctive scratchboard covers. The eight-part series takes place in a timeline where Marvel superheroes exist in the Elizabethan era; faced with the destruction of their world by a mysterious force, the heroes must fight to save their universe. Red Sonja is a fictional sword and sorcery comic-book superheroine created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith for Marvel Comics in 1973, partially inspired by Robert E. Brandon Peterson is an American comic book writer and artist, known for his work on Marvel Comics from Paterson New Jersey and Top Cow's '' Codename: Strykeforce'' in the 1990s.
