Cady is a town in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 710 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Hatchville is located partially in the town. History The town was named for Jacob Cady, who brought his family from Vermont around 1850 to establish a saw mill in the area. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.9 square miles (90.3 km2), of which, 34.5 square miles (89.4 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.9 km2) of it (1.00%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 710 people, 255 households, and 200 families residing in the town. The population density was . Cady Mountains
The Cady Mountains are a mountain range in the Mojave Desert and within Mojave Trails National Monument, in San Bernardino County, California. They are located between Interstate 15 and Interstate 40, just east of Newberry Springs. The range lies to the west of the Bristol Mountains, and reach an elevation of above sea level at "Sleeping Beauty", at the southern end of the range. Camp Cady (1860–1861, 1866–1871) was a U.S. Army Camp, on the Mojave Road near the Mojave River in the Mojave Desert, located about 20 miles east of modern-day Barstow, California in San Bernardino County, at an elevation of 1690 feet. Camp Cady was named after Major Albemarle Cady, 6th Infantry Regiment, who was a friend of Carleton and commander at Fort Yuma in 1860. Max Cady
Max Cady is a fictional character and the primary antagonist of the John D. MacDonald novel '' The Executioners''. He was portrayed by Robert Mitchum in '' Cape Fear'' and Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese's remake. Character overview In both film versions of MacDonald's novel, Cady is a criminal with an obsessive grudge against an attorney named Sam Bowden (played by Gregory Peck in the first film and by Nick Nolte in the remake) who sent him to prison for rape. While in prison, Cady teaches himself to read as he nurtures his hatred of Bowden, made especially intense when his wife divorces him and takes their child. Upon his release, he terrorizes Bowden and his family, stalking his wife at their house and attempting to seduce Bowden's teenaged daughter.
