Caddy Works
Pierce "Caddy" Works (January 2, 1896 – July 19, 1982) was an American basketball and baseball coach. He was the head basketball coach at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)—known as the Southern Branch of the University of California until 1927—for 18 seasons, from 1921 to 1939, compiling a record of 173–159. Works was also the head baseball coach at Southern Branch from 1925 to 1926, tallying a mark of 23–14. Works was a lawyer by profession and coached the team only during the evenings. According to UCLA player and future Olympian Frank Lubin Frank John Lubin ( lt, Pranas Jonas Lubinas; January 7, 1910 – July 8, 1999) was a Lithuanian-American basketball player. Pacific Coast Conference
The Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) was a college athletic conference in the United States which existed from 1915 to 1959. Though the Pac-12 Conference claims the PCC's history as part of its own, with eight of the ten PCC members (including all four original PCC charter members) now in the Pac-12, the older league had a completely different charter and was disbanded in 1959 due to a major crisis and scandal.
