La Cachita
Our Lady of Charity, also known as Our Lady of El Cobre, ''Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre'' or "la Vírgen de la Caridad", is a popular Marian title of the Blessed Virgin Mary known in many Catholic countries. Several known Marian images with the same title exist around the world while a particular Hispanic image is pontifically designated by Pope Benedict XV as the Patroness of Cuba. This image of the Madonna and Child is enshrined in the National Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, built in 1926 and situated in the village El Cobre, near Santiago de Cuba. Pope Pius XI granted a canonical coronation for the image on 20 December 1936. The feast day of Our Lady of Charity is September 8; the solemn Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Alina María Hernández (born Alberto, November 12, 1970 – October 8, 2016), better known in the entertainment world as Cachita, was a Cuban transgender television actress. Life and work Cachita debuted on television as a participant in a singing contest at Don Francisco's '' Sábado Gigante'' ("Gigantic Saturday") show, on Univision. After winning the contest, she used the 500 US dollars she earned to buy a car. She was still a struggling actor when she found work at Univision's '' El Gordo y la Flaca'' show, in 1998. There, she became friends with co-hosts Raúl De Molina, Lili Estefan and Marta Martin Carrera-Ruiz. Guest entertainers often told her that she looked much like Estefan. Cachita Galán
Leticia Noemí De León (stage name, Cachita Galán; 1943 in Buenos Aires – 2 December 2004, in Parque Patricios) was an Argentine singer. She is remembered for her vocal interpretations at the Club del Clan, and for her performance in the 1964 film '' El Club del clan''. Early years and education Galan studied classical dance from an early age and made a career as a dancer during her childhood. She also loved sports, especially swimming. By age eight, she was singing Spanish songs. She performed in theaters dedicated to that genre, such as Avenida and Tronío, with Pedrito Rico, Pablo del Río and Lolita Torres.
