Cabinet Of Shehu Shagari
The Cabinet of Shehu Shagari formed the government of Nigeria during the presidency of Shehu Shagari between 1979 and 1983, after the return to civilian rule with the Second Nigerian Republic. Among the cabinet Ministers are Adamu Ciroma, Bello Maitama Yusuf, Mamman Ali Makele etc. It was terminated by a military coup. History Lieutenant General Olusegun Obasanjo became head of the government after an attempted coup in February 1976. He managed the transition to civilian rule in an election won by the National Party of Nigeria led by Shehu Shagari. Shagari took office on 1 October 1979. The coat of arms of Nigeria consists of a black shield with a wavy white Pall (heraldry), pall, symbolizing the meeting of the Niger River, Niger and Benue Rivers at Lokoja. Adamu Ciroma
Adamu Ciroma (20 November 1934 – 5 July 2018) was a Nigerian politician and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, born to a Bolewa language, Bole family in Potiskum, Yobe State. He was a member of the People's Democratic Party (Nigeria), People's Democratic Party. Ibrahim Gusau is a Nigerian politician and former minister for Agriculture and Industries. Early life and education Gusau was born on 25th January 1945 in Sokoto, Sokoto State. Alexander Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme (21 October 1932 – 19 November 2017) was the first elected Vice President of Nigeria from 1979 to 1983 during the Second Nigerian Republic serving under President Shehu Shagari as a member of the National People’s Party (NPP).
