Cabarita Beach, New South Wales
Cabarita Beach is a town in northeastern New South Wales which occupies a thin strip of beach-side land along the Coral Sea coast, east of Tweed Coast Road, in the Tweed Shire town of Bogangar. Locally, the names Cabarita Beach and Bogangar are interchangeable; either may be used when referring to the whole settlement, with more people using the former. Hastings Point lies close to Cabarita Beach to the south and Casuarina to the north. At the Cabarita Beach had a population of 103, Bogangar 3060. Cabarita Beach is located within the Tweed Shire Local Government Authority. The beach itself, as well as the nearby Norries Headland, are popular tourist attractions. The surfing spot to the north of the headland is also very popular. Neranleigh-Fernvale Beds
The Neranleigh-Fernvale beds is a geologic formation in the north east of New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. This formation was created in the Late Devonian to the Early Carboniferous, of a thickness up to . Description This formation contains a heterogeneous succession of sandstone. Either derived from Tweed Volcano, volcanic action, or locally oolite, oolitic. Other constituents include siltstone, chert and minor mafic volcanics including pillow basalt. Conglomerate (geology), Conglomerate and jasper, with low metamorphosed greenschist are also present. Basaltic volcanics are interbedded with the Neranleigh-Fernvale sediments. Electoral District Of Tweed
Tweed is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Geoff Provest of The Nationals. It is located in the Tweed valley and eastern Tweed Shire, including Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Fingal Head, Chinderah, Cudgen, Bogangar, Pottsville and Burringbar. History Tweed was first created with the end of multi-member districts in 1894. In 1904, it was abolished with the reduction in the size of the Legislative Assembly, after Federation. Coral Sea
The Coral Sea () is a marginal sea of the South Pacific off the northeast coast of Australia, and classified as an interim Australian bioregion. The Coral Sea extends down the Australian northeast coast. Most of it is protected by the French Natural Park of the Coral Sea (french: Parc Naturel de la Mer de Corail) and the Australian Coral Sea Marine Park. The sea was the location for the Battle of the Coral Sea, a major confrontation during World War II between the navies of the Empire of Japan, and the United States and Australia. Tweed Shire
Tweed Shire is a local government area located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. It is adjacent to the border with Queensland, where that meets the Tasman Sea. Bogangar
Bogangar is a town in the Tweed Shire located in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia, and includes Cudgen Lake, Norries Headland and the locality of Cabarita Beach on the east. Locally, the names Bogangar and Cabarita Beach are interchangeable, with more residents choosing to use the latter. In the 2016 Census, Bogangar had a population of 3,060.
