Caballos De Coclé
Caballos de Coclé (in English: Coclé Horses) is a Panamanian basketball club based in Aguadulce in the Coclé Province. The team plays in the Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB). The home arena of the team is the Gymnasio Municipal de Aguadulce. The Caballos has won one LPB championship, in 2019. The Cablalos made their debut in international competition during the 2017 FIBA Americas League, finishing third in Group B. The club played in the 2020–21 season of the BCL Americas and reached the quarterfinals. Home games were played in Panama City in the Roberto Durán Arena. The Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB), also known as the LPB Panama, is the top professional basketball league in Panama. The league was formed in 2015 by six clubs. Correcaminos de Colón has been the most successful team in the league with four won championships. Currently, the league consists of 7 teams. History The league was established on June 3, 2015 by the ''Federación Panameña de Baloncesto'' (FEPABA). Six newly established clubs entered the inaugural season of the league. The first game was played on October 2, 2015, between the Águilas de Río Abajo and the Caballos de Coclé. On December 15, 2015, the Correcaminos de Colón won the first-ever league title. Flor Meléndez Montañez (born January 12, 1947) is a Puerto Rican retired basketball player and current coach. Coclé Province
Coclé () is a province of central Panama on the nation's southern coast. The administrative capital is the city of Penonomé. This province was created by the Act of September 12, 1855 with the title of Department of Coclé during the presidency of Dr. Justo de Arosemena. The 2021 Basketball Champions League Americas season was the 14th edition of the top-tier level professional club basketball competition in the Americas and the second of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) since launched by FIBA in 2019.
