C (S-train)
C is a service on the S-train network in Copenhagen. It serves the Klampenborg radial and the inner part of the Frederikssund radial, and also reinforces service on the outer part of the Frederikssund radial in high-traffic period. Service C is one of the base services on the network, running between Ballerup and Klampenborg every 20 minutes from about 5:00 to 1:00 every day. Between about 6:00 to 19:00 on Monday to Saturday it runs every 10 minutes, and in this period half of the trains continue from Ballerup to Frederikssund. On Friday and Saturday nights there is also a 30 minutes service throughout the night. History The C service was created in 1950 when the service between Ballerup and Holte (see service B) was split into two in order to make the timetable correspond better in Vanløse. Herlev Station
Herlev station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It serves the central part of Herlev municipality. Local busses from the bus terminal outside the station provide connections to remoter areas of the municipality. Ballerup Station
Ballerup station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is in the middle of the suburb of Ballerup. The station complex includes a shopping center and a large bus terminal, which is the terminus for many local bus lines and buses through the rural areas outside the urban corridor that continues towards Frederikssund. The station is the terminus for most trains on the C S-train service, and contains a group of parking and reversing tracks between the main tracks west of the platform. History Ballerup was one of the original stations on the railway to Frederikssund, which opened on 17 June 1879. On 15 May 1949, the S-train network was extended to Ballerup and, for 40 years, Ballerup was a main transfer point between S-trains and the local diesel trains between Ballerup and Frederikssund. Vanløse Station
Vanløse is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It lies on the western border of the municipality. Vanløse covers an area of 6.69 km², and has a population of 36,115, making Vanløse the smallest district of Copenhagen, by population. Flintholm Station
Flintholm station is an S-train and Metro interchange junction station in Copenhagen, Denmark. It opened on 24 January 2004, and it is located in the west of Copenhagen where the Frederikssund S-train Line crosses the S-train Ring Line. It is located in fare zone 2. The station has two levels. On the lower level the Ring Line runs roughly north–south with side platforms (tracks 11 and 12). On the upper level, tracks on Frederikssund Line and the Metro run on bridge constructions with a center platform for each above the ring line tracks. The bridges continue west of the station, above a bus terminal and the street ''Grøndals Parkvej'' towards Vanløse station. A large monumental glass roof covers all the tracks and the bus terminal. The design of the station has earned it various awards, among others the European Steel Design Awards. Peter Bangs Vej Station
Peter Bangs Vej station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. The station, located where the railway tracks cross Peter Bangs Vej, was designed by the Danish State Railways architect K.T. Seest and opened on 23 September 1941.
