CS Dinamo București (basketball)
BC Dinamo București or Dinamo Știința București, formerly known as Dinamo-Erbașu or Dinamo Gealan, is a Romanian professional basketball club, based in Bucharest, Romania. History Part of one of the biggest sports organizations in Romania, BC Dinamo enjoyed plenty of success over the years. Dinamo's basketball club won the Romanian championship 22 times, also obtaining notable results in European competitions. However, in recent years, lack of support from the parent club and the emergence of very strong teams in Ploiești and some Transylvanian cities made it difficult for BC Dinamo to win any championships. At the end of 2009/10 season, The team relegated (For the first time in its history) to Division B. then, after one season, they returned to Division A. As of 2014 the team activates in the Romanian Liga I. The Liga Națională Baschet de Masculin (LNBM) () is the top-tier professional basketball league of Romania. Founded in 1950, the winner of the league is crowned the Romanian national champion. Currently, the league consists of 24 teams playing in three different divisions. The most successful club in the league's history is Dinamo București, who has won a record 22 titles. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top Romanian football league system, football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. Ploiești
Ploiești ( , , ), formerly spelled Ploești, is a city and county seat in Prahova County, Romania. Part of the historical region of Muntenia, it is located north of Bucharest. The area of Ploiești is around , and it borders the Blejoi commune in the north, Bărcănești and Brazi communes in the south, Târgșoru Vechi commune in the west, and Bucov and Berceni communes in the east.
