The CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves football program represent Colorado State University Pueblo in college football at the NCAA Division II level. They have fielded a football team every year since 1938 with the exceptions of 1943–1945 and 1985–2007. John Wristen
John Wristen (born April 15, 1962) is an American former college football coach and player. He was the head football coach at Colorado State University–Pueblo (CSU Pueblo), a position he held from 2008 until his retirement in 2022. He graduated from CSU Pueblo in 1984, when the school was known as the University of Southern Colorado. Harry Hugh "Chief" Simmons (October 12, 1914 - March 27, 1990) was an American football and college basketball coach. He served as the head football coach at Pueblo Junior College in Pueblo, Colorado from 1952 to 1955. Maurice "Red" Elder (March 21, 1916 – August 14, 2011) was an American football and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo) from 1946 to 1951. Elder was a fullback at Kansas State University in the mid–1930s, where he played on the conference champion 1934 Kansas State Wildcats football team. Daniel William Lawrence (born 12 July 1997) is an English professional cricketer who plays internationally for the England Test cricket team. In domestic cricket, he represents Surrey having previously represented Essex. Lawrence made his Test debut in 2021. He plays as a right-handed middle-order batsman, and occasional offbreak bowler. The 2017 CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves football team represented Colorado State University–Pueblo as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) during 2017 NCAA Division II football season.
