Club Sportiv Orășenesc Ovidiu, commonly known as CSO Ovidiu, or simply as Ovidiu, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Ovidiu, Constanța County, founded on 27 July 2004. The club is currently playing in the Liga IV, Constanța County series. History In 2005–06 season, with Sevastian Iovănescu as a coach, ''Ovidenii'' won the Divizia D – Constanța County and the promotion play-off against Razim Jurilovca, the winner of the Divizia D – Tulcea County, 2–0 on neutral ground at Fetești. At the end of the 2008–09 Liga III season, the club finished 2nd in its series and took part in the promotion playoff to the Liga II. However, the club lost and then withdrew, being enrolled for the 2009–10 season in the Liga IV. Liga III
The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia C to Liga III before the start of the 2006–07 season. Cătălin Anghel
Cătălin Anghel (born 4 October 1974) is a former Romanian footballer and current assistant coach of Liga I club Farul ConstanÈ›a. Club career Anghel played for his native club Farul ConstanÈ›a. He joined Ukrainian First League side FC Stal Alchevsk during the 2003–04 season, and helped the club reach the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian Cup. He then moved to Hungary playing for BVSC Budapest and Kaposvári Rákóczi. Coaching career After his retirement he worked as head coach for CSO Ovidiu and Viitorul ConstanÈ›a. The 2017–18 Liga IV was the 76th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. 2019–20 Liga IV
The 2019–20 Liga IV was the 78th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. This had to be the third season when the counties were divided into 7 regions, each consisting of 6 counties and the draw was made on 15 February 2019, with 4 months before the first matches. In the spring of 2020, most of the county leagues were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the promotion format will be changed, especially due to the fact that no team (apart from the teams that were already excluded or dissolved) relegated from Liga III. 2019–20 Liga IV Constanța
The 2019–20 Liga IV Constanța was the 52nd season of the Liga IV Constanța, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 17 August 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. AJF Constanța intended to end the season with a play-off between the first four ranked teams, but Viitorul Fântânele, Năvodari and Agigea announced that cannot comply with the conditions imposed by the medical protocol.
