CPF Number
The CPF number (', ; Portuguese for "''Natural Persons Register''") is the Brazil, Brazilian individual taxpayer registry, since its creation in 1965. This number is attributed by the Receita Federal do Brasil, Brazilian Federal Revenue to Brazilians and resident Alien (law), aliens who, directly or indirectly, pay taxes in Brazil. It's an 11-digit number in the format 000.000.000-00, where the last 2 numbers are check digits, generated through an arithmetic operation on the first nine digits. In May 2020, a digital version of the document was promoted for Android and iOS. A tax file number (TFN) is a unique identifier issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to each taxpaying entity — an individual, company, superannuation fund, partnership, or trust. Not all individuals have a TFN, and a business has both a TFN and an Australian Business Number (ABN). If a business earns income as part of carrying on its business, it may quote its ABN instead of its TFN. The TFN was introduced initially to facilitate file tracking at the ATO, but has since been expanded to encompass income and other data matching. The Personal Public Service Number (PPS Number) ( ga, Uimhir Phearsanta Seirbhíse Poiblí, or ) is an identifier issued by the Client Identity Services section of the Department of Social Protection, on behalf of the Minister for Social Protection in the Republic of Ireland. The PPS Number was known as the Revenue and Social Insurance Number (RSI No) until 1998. RSI Numbers were first issued in April 1979 as a replacement for the separate PAYE Number and Social Welfare Insurance Number which had been used for income tax and social welfare purposes respectively until then.
