CPC Loop Den Haag
The CPC Loop Den Haag (abbreviated for ''City-Pier-City Loop'') is an annual half marathon competition held in the Hague, Netherlands, every mid-March. The inaugural edition was held in 1975 and featured a 14.5 km course. This was extended to the half marathon distance the following year. The competition has been used as the Dutch half marathon championships on a number of occasions. The course is a relatively flat one, which lends itself to fast times for athletes. A former men's half marathon world record of 58:33 minutes was set at this race by Samuel Wanjiru in 2007.IAAF, March 17, 2007Wanjiru again! Hugh Jones (athlete)
Robin Evan Hugh Jones (born 1 November 1955) is a retired British long-distance runner. He was born in London, and attended Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, where he began competing in long-distance running both for the school and for Ranelagh Harriers, and the University of Liverpool. In 1982 Jones became the first Welshman to win the London Marathon, finishing in a time of 2:09:24. Two years later he finished 12th in the men's marathon of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles with a time of 2:13:57. In 1983 he finished a close second to Joseph Nzau in the Chicago Marathon. Marja Wokke (born 21 March 1957 in Bergen, North Holland) is a former marathon runner from the Netherlands, most active in the 1970s and 1980s. Biography Wokke won the inaugural Rotterdam Marathon on 23 May 1981, clocking in at 2:43:23. In 1980 she was ranked fifth in the world with her best ever performance (2:32:28), which she ran in Eugene, Oregon. Øyvind Dahl (born 12 May 1951, in Oslo) is a retired Norwegian long-distance runner. He represented IL i BUL. At the European Championships he finished fifteenth in 10,000 metres in 1978 and ninth in marathon in 1982. He also competed at the 1983 World Championships and the 1984 Summer Olympics as well as the World Cross Country Championships in 1979, 1980 and 1983 without success.
