CMLL Super Viernes (June 2012)
In June 2012 the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held four CMLL Super Viernes shows, all of which took place in Arena México on Friday nights. On Friday June 29, CMLL held their annual '' Infierno el en Ring'' super show, replacing the regular Super Viernes show. Some of the matches from Super Viernes were taped for CMLL's weekly shows that aired in Mexico the week following the Super Viernes show. The shows featured various professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines. Wrestlers portray either heels (referred to as "''rudos''" in Mexico, the "bad guys") or faces ("''technicos''" in Mexico, the "good guys") as they follow a series of tension-building events, which culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Professional Wrestling Tag Team Match Types
Much like the singles match, tag team professional wrestling matches can and have taken many forms. Just about any singles or melee match type can be adapted to tag teams; for example, hardcore tag team matches are commonplace. Tag team ladder match and variations are also frequently used as a title feud blow-off match. Stipulations, such as " I quit" or " loser leaves town" may also be applied. The following are match variations that are specific to tag team wrestling. Multiple wrestlers teamed matches Tag team matches can range from two teams of two fighting, to multiple person teams challenging each other. Sarah Stock
Sarah Stock (born March 4, 1979) is a Canadian professional wrestler, who was most recently signed to WWE as women's trainer and producer. Stock began her career in Canada and moved back and forth across the country, working for various promotions, facing both male and female wrestlers. She then moved to Mexico, where she worked under the ring name Dark Angel for Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA) and later for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Irene Lagunas (born October 20, 1973 in Chilachapa, Guerrero, Mexico) is a Mexican ''luchadora'', better known under the ring name La Seductora (Spanish for "The Seductress"). She is currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a '' ruda'' wrestling character. Guadalupe Ramona Olvera is a Mexican professional wrestler, or ''Luchadora'' as they are called in Spanish, best known under the ring name La Amapola (Spanish for "The Poppy"). En Busca De Un Ídolo
''En Busca de un Ídolo'' (Spanish for "In search of an idol") is an annual professional wrestling tournament promoted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) since 2012 with the purpose of identifying which of the "Rookies" in the tournament would move up the ranks of the promotion. The tournament format contained two rounds, first a round-robin tournament group round, with the top four point earners competing in for a spot in the finals. Wrestlers could earn points in three ways, match results, judges points and points from an online poll available on the En Busca de un Ídolo'' website. Fabián Núñez Napoles (born January 20, 1979) is a Mexican ''luchador'' (professional wrestler), better known by the ring name Rey Escorpión. He is currently working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he portrays a ''rudo'' or bad guy character. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. Ramón Ibarra Rivera (born January 26, 1981), better known by his ring name Volador Jr., is a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler), who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Mephisto (wrestler)
Mephisto (born December 10, 1968) is the ring name of a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler and currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). His real name is not a matter of official record as he is an ''enmascarado'', which by ''lucha libre'' traditions means that his personal life is kept secret from the general public. Mephisto is the son of Luchador Astro Rey/Kahoz and has previously worked both as Astro Rey Jr. and Kahoz Jr. but has been most successful as Mephisto.
