CLJ Records is a German independent record label formed in 2006 specializing in Japanese visual kei style rock and metal bands. The label currently has 31 bands signed. CLJ is a sub division of Colosseum Music Entertainment and their head office is located in Nuremberg Germany. In cooperation with the Japanese/German tour promotion company Rock Identity, most of the groups with material released under CLJ Records will also perform live on tour throughout Europe. *CLJ Records also released the compilation album J-Visual smwith JaME dedicated to the "next superstars" of Japanese rock, those bands are also among the listed artists under CLJ Records. Kra (band)
Kra is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2001. Musical styles Their music includes a variety of genres from indie pop, alternative, funk, punk, hard rock and even an influence of jazz. Kra is signed to the PS company label and made their major label debut with the single "Heart Balance" on September 21, 2006. History The band formed in August 2001, and released their first demo tape, ''Brise'', on May 18, 2002. The following November, they signed a contract with ''PS Company'' after releasing their second demo tape, ''Hard Lolita''. Guitarist Mai left the band due to health problems and a farewell performance was made on December 28, 2010. Vistlip
Vistlip (typeset as vistlip) is a five-member Japanese visual kei rock band that formed on July 7, 2007, and is currently signed to Delfi Sound and Marvelous Entertainment. History The band was reported to have been driving along Nagae Tunnel down the Joushin’etsu Expressway in Nagano city, Nagano prefecture, when the band's car, driven by the drummer Tohya, crashed into the tunnel wall at approximately 1:15 a.m. The band's manager, Asako Sakakibara (31), had been in the backseat when the impact forced her out of the car. The damage that her body sustained led to her death. According to highway police, the rest of the passengers sustained minor neck and arm injuries and no other fatalities were reported. After the accident the band took a six-month break from their activities. They resumed their activities in February 2011. Versailles (band)
Versailles (known as Versailles Philharmonic Quintet in North America) is a Japanese visual kei symphonic power metal band formed in 2007 by vocalist Kamijo (musician), Kamijo and guitarist Hizaki. After recruiting bassist Jasmine You, drummer Yuki and guitarist Teru (guitarist), Teru, they performed their first show on June 23. Their key characteristics are their Rococo-esque costumes, dueling guitars and heavy but melodic arrangements. The group gained a significant worldwide following soon after forming as their debut EP ''Lyrical Sympathy'' (2007), released by Kamijo's own label Sherow Artist Society, received a simultaneous European release and they performed in Europe and the United States the following year. UnsraW
was a Japanese visual kei Heavy metal music, metal band signed to the label Speed Disk. They formed in July 2006 and disbanded in 2011. Biography After the dissolution of the independent band Core the Child, vocalist Yuuki and drummer Shou started a new project called UnsraW. The band performed several "secret lives" with no releases, and were scouted by Speed Disk, a record label specializing in visual kei bands. After signing to Speed Disk, UnsraW released the singles "-9-" and "Gate of Death". Both singles were limited to a 1000-copy pressing, and sold out quickly. In late 2006, the band released its first Extended play, EP, ''Spiral Circle'' in two types, which also sold out soon after release. Formed in December 1993 in Chiba Prefecture, they released their first mini-album in December 1995, and in 1997, they released their first single on a major label. Originally named , the band has been using simply Nogod since signing to the major label King Records in 2010.
