CJ (musician)
Christopher Paul Persaud-Jagdhar (born 27 December 1967), known professionally as C. J. Wildheart is an English musician of Guyanese and Seychellois descent. He is a solo artist and also a founding member of the UK rock band The Wildhearts. He was born in Colchester, and his early childhood was spent living in various military bases in Malaysia and Europe whilst his father and mother served in the British army. The family eventually moved back to the UK during his teens. Early bands CJ was involved with several local bands including Medusa, before achieving his first notable success in the late 1980s as the guitarist for London-based hair rockers Tattooed Love Boys. The band released their debut album ''Bleeding Hearts and Needle Marks'' in 1988 before splitting up shortly afterwards. Earth Vs The Wildhearts
''Earth vs the Wildhearts'' is the debut studio album by British rock band The Wildhearts, released in 1993. The title is based on such B-movie titles as ''Earth vs. the Flying Saucers'' and ''Earth vs. the Spider''. The album has been reissued twice: first in 1994 with the addition of the formerly single-only track "Caffeine Bomb", and again in 2010 with several B-sides from the period. Recording Mick Ronson contributed one of the three guitar solos on "My Baby Is a Headfuck". This is believed to be Ronson's final appearance on record before his death on 29 April 1993. ''Fishing for Luckies'' is an album by The Wildhearts that originated as a fan club-only release of newly recorded material, but has since been expanded and re-released with extra tracks. Original release The Wildhearts released the original ''Fishing for Luckies'' in December 1994 as a limited edition CD mini-album, available only via their fan club. The songs were newly recorded and featured the line-up of Ginger Wildheart, Ginger on vocals and guitar, CJ (musician), CJ on guitar and vocals, Danny McCormack on bass, and Ritch Battersby on drums. ''¡Chutzpah!'' is the eighth studio album by The Wildhearts. Recorded in Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen, it was released in Europe and the US on 31 August 2009. Unlike the band's previous releases, where the songs were almost always performed in E tuning, the guitars and bass on the album are tuned to C. It is also rare among the band's releases in that it contains a song, "The Only One", which was neither written nor sung by frontman Ginger, but instead by bassist Scott Sorry. The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed
''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed'' is a 2003 album by The Wildhearts. The album's title makes reference to 1969 horror film ''Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed''. The album was the first new studio release since The Wildhearts broke up in 1997 and reformed in 2001. Rumours indicated that the album would feature the same line-up as the 1993 album ''Earth vs the Wildhearts'', and that line-up did indeed reform in 2001, but bassist Danny McCormack dropped out and entered rehab just prior to the recording of the album. McCormack had appeared on some songs that would be used as B-sides for the album, but on the album itself bass duties were performed by group leader Ginger. Three singles were released in the UK with some chart success: "Vanilla Radio", " So into You" and " Top of the World".
