Deseronto
Deseronto is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario, in Hastings County, located at the mouth of the Napanee River on the shore of the Bay of Quinte, on the northern side of Lake Ontario. The town was named for Captain John Deseronto, a native Mohawk leader who was a captain in the British Military Forces during the American Revolutionary War. More extensive development began with sale of village tracts by Deseronto's grandson John Culbertson in 1837. The Mohawk of the nearby Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory originally controlled the townsite as well. This is the most easterly municipality of Hastings County. It was a center of industry related to timber and mineral resources until the 1930s. Pembroke is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario at the confluence of the Muskrat River (Ontario), Muskrat River and the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley. CJSS-TV was a television station in Cornwall, Ontario, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. In operation from 1959 to 1963 as a private affiliate of CBC Television, the station was later converted to a rebroadcaster of Ottawa's CJOH-DT, CJOH-TV. The station originally signed on as a CBC Television affiliate on October 18, 1959, owned by Stanley Shenkman. Shenkman also acquired the radio stations CJSS-FM, CKSF and CFLG-FM, CKSF-FM, which both adopted the CJSS call sign as well. CTV 2 is a Canadian English-language television system owned by the Bell Media subsidiary of BCE Inc. Chelsea, Quebec
Chelsea is a municipality located immediately north of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, and about north of Ottawa. Chelsea is located within Canada's National Capital Region. It is the seat of Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality. Its population was 8000 in the 2021 Canadian Census. The population of Chelsea is almost evenly divided between anglophones and francophones and both English and French languages are in common use throughout the town. The municipality has a reputation for being environmentally responsible and was one of the first in Canada to ban the use of pesticides.
