CIRA-FM-4
CIRA-FM is a French language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Its studios are located at 5000 d'Iberville street in the Plateau Mont-Royal district of Montreal. It broadcasts on 91.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 36,200 watts ( class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna located atop Mount Royal. Radio Ville-Marie now stylized as Radio VM received CRTC approval in 1994 to operate a new religious French-language FM radio programming at Montreal. This radio station is Catholic and has a religious broadcasting format. Since its inception in 1995 it identifies itself as "Radio Ville-Marie". CIRA-FM is not a commercial broadcaster and as such does not carry paid advertising. CHFO was a French language Canadian radio station located at 1350 kHz (AM) in Gatineau, Quebec. The station had a community radio format. History On November 29, 2017, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approved an application by Radio Communautaire Francophone et Francophile de l’Outaouais to operate a new French-language community radio station in Gatineau, Quebec. The new station would operate on the AM band at 1350 kHz with a daytime transmitter power of 1,000 watts and a nighttime transmitter power of 180 watts. Pembroke is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario at the confluence of the Muskrat River (Ontario), Muskrat River and the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley. CHVR-FM
CHVR-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 96.7 FM in Pembroke, Ontario. The station airs a country format branded as ''Pure Country 96.7''. Prior to May 28, 2019, it was branded ''Star 96.7''. History The station was originally launched on July 1, 1942 as AM 1340 CHOV by Ottawa Valley Broadcasting. In the late 1940s CHOV moved to AM 1350. In 1961, Ottawa Valley also launched CHOV-TV. Workers at CHOV unionized and labour disputes at the channel led to management closing the station and selling it to new owners. The television station was purchased by J. Conrad Lavigne in 1977, adopting the callsign CHRO and becoming part of the MCTV system in 1980. AM broadcasting is radio broadcasting using amplitude modulation (AM) transmissions. It was the first method developed for making audio radio transmissions, and is still used worldwide, primarily for medium wave (also known as "AM band") transmissions, but also on the longwave and shortwave radio bands. Victoriaville is a town in central Quebec, Canada, on the Nicolet River. Victoriaville is the seat of Arthabaska Regional County Municipality and a part of the Centre-du-Québec (Bois-Francs) region.
