CIGNA Golf Classic
The ING New England Golf Classic was an annual golf tournament for professional women golfers on the Futures Tour, the LPGA Tour's developmental tour. The event was played from 1999 to 2011 in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Prior to 2009, the tournament had various title sponsors, most recently CIGNA, a health service company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 2009 season opened with the tournament lacking a title sponsor. Futures Tour
The Epson Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and known for sponsorship reasons between 2006 and 2010 as the Duramed Futures Tour and between 2012 and 2021 as the Symetra Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs. History The Futures Tour was founded in Florida in 1981 as the "Tampa Bay Mini Tour". It officially became the ''Futures Golf Tour'' in 1983 and in 1999 become a national tour designated as the "official developmental tour" of the LPGA Tour (the U.S.-based professional women's golf tour). Grace Park, Marilyn Lovander and Audra Burks were the first players to receive automatic LPGA Tour exempt status by finishing one, two, and three on the Futures Golf Tour Money List. Gillette Ridge Golf Club is a public golf course located in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Located on the Cigna headquarters campus (formerly known as Connecticut General Life Insurance), it is the only public Arnold Palmer designed course in the Northeast. is a Japanese professional golfer and former member of the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Higashio was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. As a teenager, she won the 1993 Japan Amateur Championship and the 1994 Japan Junior Championship. Higashio first attended Nihon University in Tokyo. She accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, United States, where she played for the Florida Gators women's golf team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 1996 to 1998. Stacy Prammanasudh (born September 23, 1979) is a retired American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour from 2004 to 2013. Amateur career Prammanasudh was born in Enid, Oklahoma, to an American mother and a native Thai father who immigrated to the United States from Thailand. She was raised in Oklahoma, and attended the University of Tulsa where she won the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate from 1999 to 2001 and was a three-year Academic All-American, from 2000 through 2002. Prammanasudh was also a First-Team All-American from 1999 through 2002. She was the recipient of the Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award in 2001, which is given to one of the top female collegiate golfers who excels in academics. Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model.
