CIBAC
The Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC ) is a political organization in the Philippines, founded in 1997. It is a party-list member in the House of Representatives of the Philippines, and is dedicated towards fighting graft, corruption and cronyism in government. From 2001 until 2007, CIBAC was represented by Emmanuel Joel Villanueva (son of Eddie Villanueva). CIBAC opposed Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. In the May 14, 2007 Philippine general election, 2007 election, the party won two seats in the nationwide party-list vote. Sherwin Tugna
Sherwin Najito Tugna (born October 15, 1977) is a Filipino lawyer and politician who is the vice mayor of Bocaue, Bulacan. He previously served as a representative for the Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) party-list group from 2010 to 2019. He served his first term in the House of Representatives of the Philippines after CIBAC won two seats in the 2010 national elections. Tugna would go on to become one of the Assistant Majority Leaders of the 15th Congress. He ran for his third term in Congress through CIBAC Party-List in the 2016 general election where his party won a seat, sending Tugna to the 17th Congress of the Philippines. Emmanuel Joel Jose Villanueva (, born August 2, 1975), nicknamed "Tesdaman", is a Filipino politician serving as the Senate Majority Leader since 2022 and has been a Senator since 2016. He previously served as the Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) from 2010 to 2015 in the administration of President Benigno Aquino III. He started his political career in the House of Representatives, representing CIBAC party-list from 2002 to 2010; he was the youngest member of the House when he assumed office, aged 26. Eduardo Cruz Villanueva (born October 6, 1946), most commonly referred to as "Bro. Eddie Villanueva", is an evangelist and president-founder of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW). Villanueva was previously a communist-atheist, radical activist, and street parliamentarian. During martial law, he was imprisoned twice for fighting alongside the oppressed for their rights against land grabbing syndicates. The 2019 Philippine House of Representatives elections were the 35th lower house elections in the Philippines. They were held on May 13, 2019, to elect members to the House of Representatives. The 2010 Philippine House of Representatives elections were held on May 10, 2010, to elect members to the House of Representatives of the Philippines to serve in the 15th Congress of the Philippines from June 30, 2010, to June 30, 2013. Renato Tereso Antonio Coronado Corona (October 15, 1948 – April 29, 2016) was a Filipino judge who was the 23rd chief justice of the Philippines from 2010 to 2012. He served as an associate justice after being appointed by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on April 9, 2002, and later as Chief Justice on May 12, 2010, upon the retirement of Chief Justice Reynato Puno.
