CHST-FM
CHST-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 102.3 FM in London, Ontario. The station uses the on-air brand and format ''Jack 102.3''. CHST broadcasts from the CFPL-TV tower in Southwest London. Due to CHST's low ERP relative to some London area radio stations, its broadcast signal covers only Middlesex, Elgin, and Oxford counties. The station's coverage to the west is impeded by co-channel WGRT in Port Huron, Michigan. History Approved by the CRTC in 1999, CHST was launched by CHUM Limited in 2000. It originally used the brand ''Star 102.3'' with a hot adult contemporary format, but was rebranded as the adult hits format ''Bob FM'' in July 2003. WGRT (102.3 FM) is an adult contemporary radio station in Port Huron, Michigan. It is owned by Port Huron Family Radio and broadcasts with a power of 3,000 watts. WGRT signed on in October 1991. The station airs a satellite-delivered AC format ("Today's Hits and Yesterday's Favorites") from Citadel Media. The station can be heard as far as Lapeer County and in parts of northern Macomb and southern Sanilac counties. CHUM Limited was a Canadian media company based in Toronto, Ontario in operation from 1945 to 2007. The company was founded in 1945 as York Broadcasters Limited when it launched CHUM-AM 1050 but was acquired by salesman Allan Waters in 1954. CHUM had expanded to and owned 33 radio stations across Canada under its CHUM Radio Network division (now Bell Media Radio) and also owned other radio stations. CKOT-FM is a Canadian radio station licensed to Tillsonburg, Ontario, broadcasting at 101.3 FM and serving the London area. The station was established in 1955 as the AM station CKOT, before migrating to FM in 2007. It had been operated by the locally-owned Tillsonburg Broadcasting Company until 2017, when it was sold to Rogers Media. Jack FM is a radio network brand, licensed by Sparknet Communications, with the exception of the European Union where it is licensed by Oxis Media. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter.
