CFX Academy Cricket Team
The CFX Academy cricket team was a first-class cricket team representing the Zimbabwe's cricket academy in the country's domestic cricket competitions. They competed in the Logan Cup from 1999 until 2002. The club played their home matches at the Country Club, Harare. Kwekwe Sports Club
The Kwekwe Sports Club in Kwekwe is the home ground of one of Zimbabwe's four provincial cricket sides, Mid West Rhinos. Gary Brent
Gary Bazil Brent (born 13 January 1976) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. Brent is an inswinging bowler, with a good slow-arm bowling technique. Having missed the cut for the 2003 Cricket World Cup, he made the squad for the 2003/04 tour in Australia. Brent was one of the fifteen "rebel" players who were dismissed in 2004 due to a dispute with the Zimbabwean Cricket Board. Brent was a surprise call-up during the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy, replacing the injured Terrence Duffin. He played just the one match, but proved useful, taking 1/28 from seven overs, and adding ten with the bat as part of the Zimbabwean total of 130. In the first ODI against South Africa, Brent equaled his top score with a defiant 59 after his team was reduced to 72–7. He won the man of the match award, after a good bowling performance as well. Neil Ferreira
Neil Robert Ferreira (born 3 June 1979) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. Having also tried his hand at sports including tennis, squash, and hockey, he made his name as a left-handed opening batsman for the academy and for Manicaland. He is also a wicket keeper. Sean Ervine
Sean Michael Ervine (born 6 December 1982) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. Ervine played as an all-rounder who batted left-handed and bowled right-arm medium pace. Ervine was born at Harare in Zimbabwe and played for his country in the 2003 Cricket World Cup but became one of the cricketers who rebelled against the Zimbabwe Cricket Union, and left the country in May 2004 for a new life in Australia. He subsequently made his way to England, playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club between 2005 and 2018. Dion Ebrahim
Dion Digby Ebrahim (born 7 August 1980) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer, who played Tests and ODIs. He now lives in New Zealand where he works as a cricket coach. International career A graduate of the CFX Academy in Harare, Ebrahim was considered an integral part of Zimbabwean cricket until falling out of favour with authorities. Ebrahim has a highest One Day International score of 121 and highest Test score of 94. Terry Duffin
Terrence Duffin (born 20 March 1982) is a former Zimbabwean international cricketer, who played Test matches and One Day Internationals, captaining the side in ODIs. International career Duffin has played two Test matches for Zimbabwe against India as an opening batsman, scoring 56 in the first innings of that tour, making him the fifth Zimbabwean to score a half-century on Test debut. However, in the second innings, Duffin was dismissed for two by Zaheer Khan. He was selected as the captain of the Zimbabwean One Day International team to play Kenya without having played an ODI. Colin Delport
Colin Delport (born 4 August 1978) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. He played fifteen first-class matches between 1999 and 2004. Biography Delport, originally from Kadoma and Chegutu in Zimbabwe, was introduced to cricket by his father, who had previously played for the Rhodesian Schools team. He attended Lomagundi College where he began playing cricket at six, primarily as a batsman and fielder, eventually securing a spot in the school's Colts team in Grade 3 and the first team from Grade 5. By accident, Delport turned to wicket-keeping at 13, enjoyed it, and showed proficiency in the role. Keith Dabengwa
Keith Mbusi Dabengwa (born 17 August 1980) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He was appointed head coach of the Denmark national cricket team in October 2021. Dabengwa is an all-rounder who made his First class debut for Matabeleland in 2000, taking 5 for 76, he then spent a season at the CFX Academy. He continued without many spectacular performances but in 2004/05 he got selected in Zimbabwe A squad for their tours of Namibia and Bangladesh. In the first match against Bangladesh A he took five wickets and scored 50 not out. In 2005 Dabengwa scored his highest first class score of 161 against Midlands, his only century to date. Guy Croxford
Guy Croxford (born 2 June 1981) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. He played thirteen first-class matches between 2000 and 2003. Biography Croxford belongs to a cricketing family. His father was an opening bowler and his elder brother was a wicket-keeper batsman before a car accident ended his cricket career. Croxford's initial cricket exposure came from his father's coaching, and he later learned his skills at Lilfordia School and Falcon College, scoring several centuries. While he used to bowl, he decided to focus more on batting, labelling himself as a part-time bowler. Croxford was a consistent national age-group team member during his school years. Charles Coventry (Zimbabwean Cricketer)
Charles Kevin Coventry Jr. (born 8 March 1983) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional wicket-keeper. He previously shared the record, with Saeed Anwar, of the highest individual score in a One Day International, 194 not out. This was surpassed by Sachin Tendulkar's 200 on 24 February 2010. Neetan Chouhan
Neetan Chouhan (born 3 April 1983) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. He played twenty first-class matches between 2000 and 2007. Career Chouhan was introduced to cricket by his father, Nick, a former player and long-term administrator at the Mashonaland Cricket Union. Chouhan initially played for Selborne Routledge Primary School, Harare, before moving to Sharon School. Innocent Chinyoka (born 21 June 1982) is a Zimbabwean former first-class cricketer who played for Mashonaland Eagles.
