CF-05
The CS/LS06 or CF-05, also known as Changfeng submachine gun (), is submachine gun developed by Chongqing Chang Feng Co. Ltd in early 1990s in response to China's demand for a new submachine gun design. It was developed by the same team who designed the QSZ-92 pistol, which is now the primary pistol used by PLA and PAP. CF-05 design is chambered for 9×19mm Parabellum ammunition, used internationally for most pistols and sub machine guns used by armed forces and law enforcement. QCW-05
The QCW-05 (, also referred to as the Type 05 Suppressed Submachine Gun) is a suppressed bullpup submachine gun, manufactured and developed by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) 208 Research Institute and Jianshe Industries (Group) Corporation of Chongqing under the China South Industries Group for the People's Liberation Army Ground Force, the People's Liberation Army Special Operations Forces and the People's Armed Police. This weapon is designed for the 5.8×21mm DCV05 sub-sonic round that is also used by the QSW-06 Silenced Pistol. Submachine Gun
A submachine gun (SMG) is a magazine-fed, automatic carbine designed to fire handgun cartridges. The term "submachine gun" was coined by John T. Thompson, the inventor of the Thompson submachine gun, to describe its design concept as an automatic firearm with notably less firepower than a machine gun (hence the prefix " sub-"). As a machine gun must fire rifle cartridges to be classified as such, submachine guns are not considered machine guns. The submachine gun was developed during World War I (1914–1918) as a close quarter offensive weapon, mainly for trench raiding. The CS/LS7 (military designation QCQ-171) is a submachine gun developed by the Jianshe Industries (Group) Corporation of Chongqing. The CS/LS7 is chambered in Chinese 9×19mm DAP-92 ammunition or 9×19mm Parabellum round. Development The CS/LS7 is part of a weapon development program initiated by Chinese police department to acquire a new type of submachine gun, replacing old Type 79 submachine gun. After trials, CS/LS7 was selected to be the next-generation submachine gun for the Chinese police force, and was first showcased on the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China parade. The CS/LS5 is a submachine gun developed by the Jianshe Industries (Group) Corporation of Chongqing. The CS/LS5 design is chambered for indigenous armour-piercing 9×19mm DAP-92 ammunition, but can also use the popular 9×19mm Parabellum round used internationally by armed forces and law enforcement for most pistols and sub machine guns, as well as domestically developed less lethal rubber ammunition. The Uganda Police Force is the national police, police force of Uganda. The head of the force is called the Inspector General of Police (IGP). The current IGP is Martin Okoth Ochola. Closed Bolt
A semi or full-automatic firearm which is said to fire from a closed bolt is one where, when ready to fire, a round is in the chamber and the bolt and working parts are forward. When the trigger is pulled, the firing pin or striker fires the round; the action is cycled by the energy of the shot, sending the bolt to the rear, which extracts and ejects the empty cartridge case; and the bolt goes forward, feeding a fresh round from the magazine into the chamber, ready for the next shot.
