CEPE-Caxias
Clube dos Empregados da Petrobrás - Duque de Caxias, usually known as CEPE-Caxias, is a Brazilian women's football team, from Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro state. History CEPE-Caxias was founded on March 29, 1999. In 2006, and in 2007, the club won the Carioca Women's Football Championship. In 2006, CEPE-Caxias also finished as Brazil Trophy's runner-up, after being defeated in the final by Botucatu. The club, in a partnership with Duque de Caxias, won the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino in 2010. The title qualified them for the 2011 Copa Libertadores Femenina, where they finished its group stage third out of four. They won the Campeonato Carioca again in 2011, after beating Vasco in the final. 2010 Copa Do Brasil De Futebol Feminino
The 2010 Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino was the fourth staging of the competition. The competition started on August 16, 2010, and will conclude on December 4, 2010. 32 clubs of all regions of Brazil participated of the cup, which is organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The winner of the cup represented Brazil in the 2011 Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino. Competition format The competition was contested by 32 clubs in a Single-elimination tournament, knock-out format where all rounds were played over two legs and the away goals rule was used, but in the first three rounds, if the away team won the first leg with an advantage of at least three goals, the second leg would not be played and the club would be automatically qualified to the next round. 2011 Copa Libertadores Femenina
The 2011 Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino was the third edition of the Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino, CONMEBOL's premier annual international women's football club tournament. It was again held in Brazil from 13 to 27 November 2011. Santos were the defending champions. The competition was won by the local team São José for the first time. Two time champion Santos finished in third place. Caracas' Ysaura Viso won the top-scorer award having scored nine goals in her team's five matches. Changes from 2010 *The tournament was expanded from 10 to 12 teams. This allows for Santos to enter and be able to defend the trophy. As well as a local team from the host city. Format The twelve teams are divided in three groups of four. The teams then play each other once. After that the group winners and the best runner-up qualify for the semi-finals. The Campeonato Carioca de Futebol Feminino (''Carioca Women's Football Championship'', in English), organized by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation (FFERJ) is the women's football state championship of Rio de Janeiro State, and is contested since 1983. The four most important Rio de Janeiro Men's football teams ( Vasco da Gama, Flamengo, Botafogo and Fluminense) contested in all editions of the competition between 1995 and 2000. In 2006, the four most important Rio de Janeiro clubs did not dispute the competition, and in 2007 only Botafogo participated of the competition. Ester Aparecida dos Santos (born 9 December 1982), commonly known mononymously as Ester, is a Brazilian former footballer. She played as a " volante" (defensive midfielder) for clubs including Chelsea of the English FA WSL and BV Cloppenburg of the German Frauen-Bundesliga. Ester was part of the Brazil women's national football team who finished as runners-up in the 2007 World Cup and 2008 Summer Olympics. Career Ester began playing as a child in her neighbourhood near the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport. She was signed for Clube Atlético Juventus after a trial, then moved on to Santos FC. In 2007 Ester played for CEPE-Caxias in Rio de Janeiro. She rejoined Santos in January 2008, following her successful season away. Duque de Caxias (, ''Duke of Caxias'') is a city on Guanabara Bay and part of Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area, southeastern Brazil. It is bordered by Rio de Janeiro city to the south.
