Club Deportivo Fútbol Tres Cantos is a Spanish football team based in Tres Cantos, Community of Madrid. Founded in 2005, it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 7, holding home matches at '' Campo Municipal de Fútbol La Foresta A''. History Founded in 2005 as a merger between ''CD Tres Cantos Balompié'' and ''CD Embarcaciones'', Tres Cantos achieved immediate promotion to ''Primera CategorÃa'' in its first season. In 2008, after a fusion with ''CD La Paz'', the club achieved an administrative promotion to ''Preferente Autonómica''. Tres Cantos achieved promotion to Tercera División in June 2017, after finishing third in the regular season. On 4 July of the following year, the club became CF Rayo Majadahonda's reserve team, after an agreement between both sides was reached. In April 2020, after Rayo Majadahonda announced an affiliation with CD Paracuellos Antamira (formerly Alcobendas Sport), the agreement with Tres Cantos was cancelled. The 2021–22 Tercera División RFEF season will be the first for the national fifth level in the Spanish football league system. The league has 18 groups like the former fourth tier Tercera División. The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del GeneralÃsimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Tres Cantos
Tres Cantos is a municipality of Spain located in Community of Madrid. Originally belonging to Colmenar Viejo, it seceded from the latter municipality in 1991, becoming the youngest municipality in the region. The urbanised area was conceived as a "satellite city" of Madrid developed by urban planners in the 1970s. It has a population of 48 326 inhabitants in 2020.
