CB Alcúdia
Club Bàsquet Alcúdia is a professional basketball team based in Alcúdia, Balearic Islands that is not currently registered in any competition. In season 2007–08, the team played in LEB Oro. History CB Alcúdia played in balearic competitions until 2004-05, when they merge with CB Aracena and they play in LEB Plata with the name of Alcúdia-Aracena. With Eloy Doce as coach, they reach the LEB Oro in their first season. Due to problems with the pavilion, the team goes to Palma Arena in Palma de Mallorca where plays the LEB Oro matches until 2007-08 season with the sponsorship name Palma Aqua Màgica. Palma reaches the play-offs two times in a row. After the 2007-08 season, due to economic problems, Palma Aqua Màgica renounces to play in LEB Oro and comes back to balearic divisions. Liga Española De Baloncesto
The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the LEB Oro are relegated to LEB Plata. A total of 78 teams have competed in LEB Oro since its inception in 1996. 19 teams have been crowned champions and 30 teams have gained promotion to Liga ACB, of which only five teams could not play in Liga ACB. The Copa Princesa de Asturias de Baloncesto (English: ''Princess of Asturias' Cup of Basketball'') is an annual 2nd-tier level national cup competition for Spanish professional basketball teams, that is organized by Spain's 2nd-tier level professional league, the Liga Española de Baloncesto (LEB). It was first played in 1987. Since 2009, at the end of the first half of the season, the top two teams from the LEB Oro qualify. The Final is at champions venue. Robert Battle (born August 28, 1972 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA) is a dancer, choreographer and the Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Early life and education Originally from the Liberty City community of Miami, Florida, Battle was raised by his great uncle Willie Horne and his cousin Dessie Horne in economically poor living conditions. He studied at the New World School of the Arts before graduating from the Juilliard School, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1994. Louis Marquel Roe (born July 14, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Spanish Liga ACB, among other leagues. He was an All-American college player at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass). College playing career Roe played college basketball for the UMass Minutemen, where in 1995, he was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, and a consensus second-team All-American. Alcúdia () is a municipality and township of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is the main tourist centre in the North of Majorca on the eastern coast.
