C. K. Vijayan
Chandroth Vijayan (born 4 November 1936) was an Indian cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played for Kerala. He was born in Tellicherry. Career Vijayan made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1957–58 season, against Andhra. From the lower order, he scored 10 runs in the first innings, and a single run in the second. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Kerala Cricket Team
The Kerala cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Kerala. It is in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first class cricket tournament in India. It was known as Travancore-Cochin cricket team until 1957/58. Kerala has produced two Indian Test cricketers, Tinu Yohannan and S. Sreesanth. Sanju Samson has represented India in T20Is and ODIs, while Basil Thampi has a national call-up to his name. Thalassery (), formerly Tellicherry, is a municipality, Commercial City on the Malabar Coast in Kannur district, in the state of Kerala, India, bordered by the districts of Mahé (Pondicherry), Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod and Kodagu (Karnataka). Andhra Pradesh Cricket Team
The Andhra cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team representing the South India state of Andhra Pradesh. The team's main home ground is Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy International Cricket Stadium at Visakhapatnam, while some home matches are also played at Anantapur and Kadapa. Overview The Andhra Cricket Association was formed in 1951. Chandroth Bhaskaran
Chandroth Kalyadan Bhaskaran (5 May 194121 November 2020) was an Indian former first-class cricketer who played for Kerala and Madras. He represented India in an unofficial Test match against Ceylon in 1965. He was regarded as "one of the country's leading fast bowlers in the sixties." Life and career Born in Tellicherry (now Thalassery), Bhaskaran played as a right-arm medium-fast swing bowler. He made his first-class debut for Kerala in December 1957 at the age of 16. In January 1965, he played for India in an unofficial Test match against Ceylon at Ahmedabad. Bhaskaran switched to Madras during his later career, and was part of the Madras team that finished runners-up in the 1967–68 Ranji Trophy.
