C.D. Victoria
Club Deportivo Victoria is a Honduran football club based in La Ceiba, Atlántida. They have enjoyed success in the past having won the Honduran first division once. They currently play in the Honduran first division. History Club Deportivo Victoria was founded on 15 November 1935 in La Ceiba. The club started out as the ''Instituto Manuel Bonilla'' which later was renamed Club Deportivo Victoria. The club was founded by the Hungarian Francisco Detari Olah. He first started out as a soccer player in Puerto Cortés with Excelsior soccer club (now known as Platense), eventually being nationalized to play with the Honduras national team. He then took over the Instituto Manuel Bonilla and the club won the first national tournament in 1947 beating Motagua 3–2. His legacy is still remember in La Ceiba as the guy who made Victoria who they are now. Later Miguel J. Kawas became president leading Victoria to their league title in the 1994–95 league. Callinectes Sapidus
''Callinectes sapidus'' (from the Ancient Greek ,"beautiful" + , "swimmer", and Latin , "savory"), the blue crab, Atlantic blue crab, or regionally as the Chesapeake blue crab, is a species of crab native to the waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and introduced internationally. ''C. sapidus'' is of considerable culinary and economic importance in the United States, particularly in Louisiana, the Carolinas, the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware, and New Jersey. It is the Maryland state crustacean and the state's largest commercial fishery. Due to overfishing and environmental pressures some of the fisheries have seen declining yields, especially in the Chesapeake Bay fishery. Honduran Cup
The Honduran Cup was the top knock-out Association football, football tournament in Honduras. The first tournament was played in 1968 Honduran Cup, 1968, four years later the second tournament took the name ''Copa Presidente'' ( en, President's Cup) in honor of Dr. Ramón Ernesto Cruz Uclés, Ramón Cruz; later, General Oswaldo López Arellano, Oswaldo López changed the name and called it ''Copa Jefe de Estado'' ( en, Head of State Cup). Twenty years later the third tournament was played. From 1992 to 1994, the Cup tournament was played as a separate tournament from the league (played from June to August). From 1995 to 1999, the winner of the first stage of the league tournament was declared Cup champions. In 2015, the tournament was yet again re-launched and re-branded as ''Copa Presidente''. 1947 Honduran Amateur League
The 1947 Honduran football season was the first edition of the Amateur League, won by C.D. Victoria, after winning the championship round against F.C. Motagua and C.D. Marathón.
