C-TRAN (North Carolina)
GoCary is the public transportation provider in Cary, a community in the Research Triangle urbanized area in North Carolina. While the city of Raleigh provides service to most of the county via GoRaleigh, Cary opted to retain its own town-owned system. Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, and Wake Forest, the five cities that constitute the region, are connected by GoTriangle. Fixed-route service operates Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. As part of the GoTransit branding initiative for the Triangle, GoCary changed its name from Cary Transit or C-Tran on October 1, 2016. Cary is a town in Wake and Chatham counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina and is part of the Raleigh–Cary, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. GoTransit (North Carolina)
GoTransit is a joint branding of municipal and regional bus systems adopted in 2015 for the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. The original participating systems are GoTriangle, formerly Triangle Transit; GoRaleigh, formerly Capital Area Transit (CAT); and GoDurham, formerly Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA). GoCary was rebranded from ''Cary Transit''(''C-Tran'') in October 2016. Chapel Hill Transit has decided to not adopt the Go branding. The new Bus rapid transit system in Raleigh, NC will operate under "Go+." The systems remain operationally separate although they coordinate schedules and, in some cases, offer joint fares. Bond Park
Fred G. Bond Metro Park is the largest municipal park in Cary, North Carolina. It is also one of the largest municipal parks in Wake County. It is located at 801 High House Road, physically the geographic center of the town. The park has been described as "an oasis in the middle of Cary". History The park was originally the buffer zone and a water reservoir, created by an earth dam on Crabtree Creek in 1970. The dam is owned by the Town of Cary and was designed by the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service. In 1981, the property was named after Fred G. Lake Crabtree County Park is a park in Wake County, North Carolina. It is a forested area between Cary, Morrisville, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport, bounded by the northeastern shore of Lake Crabtree, I-40, and Aviation Parkway. The main entrance is on the Aviation Parkway side and is equipped with two playgrounds (for different age groups), a boat dock (as well as rentable sailboats), bathrooms, an observation tower, and other amenities. Apex () is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. At its southern border, Apex encompasses the community of Friendship. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark. The depot location marks the highest point on the old Chatham Railroad, hence the town's name. The town motto is "The Peak of Good Living". In the precolonial era, the town's area was inhabited by the Tuscarora tribe of Native Americans. In the late 19th century, a small community developed around the railroad station.
