C-Block
C-Block were a German Hip-Hop group, founded in 1995 by German music producers Frank Müller and Jörg Wagner. The group is fronted by American rapper/singer Anthony "Red Dogg" Joseph and James "Mr.P" White. C-Block were a well-known hip hop act in Europe in the 1990s, who along with Down Low and Nana, signified the rise of the American-influenced rap music in Europe. Biography Since producer-driven, vocalist-fronted musical projects such as Snap! and C+C Music Factory had remarkable success in the early 1990s, producers Frank Müller, Ulrich Buchmann and Jörg Wagner decided to put together such a group in 1995. So Strung Out
"So Strung Out" is a song by German hip-hop group C-Block. Released as a single on October 4, 1996 in Germany, it was included in C-Block's debut album '' General Population'' in the following year. In 1997 the song had entered the top ten in charts of several countries and remained popular after C-Block's breakup. Themes and composition "So Strung Out" was recorded at Toneway & Paradise Studio. The music was composed by Franky Miller, Jörg Wagner and Ulrich Buchmann and the lyrics were written by Red Dogg, Mr. P and Wagner. The refrain is sung by Spanish–German vocalist Raquel Gomez with the rap part by Red Dogg and Mr. P. The lyrics revolve around drug abuse and depressive state of one person, who consumes cocaine. The black-and-white music video conveys an anti-drug message with the words "stop the madness" and "say no to drugs" shown in the end. Down Low is a rap group formed in Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 1995 fronted by Americans Joe Thompson and Darren Tucker. Mike Dalien joined the group in 1996 since Joe and Darren had decided to go separate ways. The group is known for hits like "Johnny B. (song), Johnny B."
