Burgos Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Founded in 1985, it started to play in 1994. History Early years ''Burgos CF'' was founded in 1922, also known as ''Gimnástica Burgalesa Club de Fútbol''. In 1983, the side disappeared due to serious economic problems and the reserve team, ''Burgos Promesas'', was renamed '' Real Burgos Club de Fútbol''. Estadio El Plantío
Estadio Municipal de El Plantío is a stadium in Burgos, Spain. It is currently used for football (soccer) matches and is the home stadium of Burgos CF. The stadium holds 12,194 spectators. The construction of the stadium started on June 22, 1963, a few months after the project presentation. In March 2018 the reform of three of its four stands began. Sociedad anónima deportiva ("Public limited sports company") is a special type of public limited company in Spain. The new legal status was introduced in 1990http://www.csd.gob.es/csd/asociaciones/6SAD/ (Spanish) to improve financial management and transparency in sports clubs. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. For next season the Segunda División B was demoted to the fourth level and dropped the B in its name in favour of the federation's Spanish initials RFEF on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF. Club Deportivo Nuestra Señora de Belén, also known as BigMat Fontecha for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's football club from Burgos. 2017 Segunda División B Play-offs
The 2017 Segunda División B play-offs (Playoffs de Ascenso or Promoción de Ascenso) are the final playoffs for promotion from 2016–17 Segunda División B to the 2017–18 Segunda División. The four first placed teams in each one of the four qualify for the promotion playoffs and the four last placed teams in Segunda División are relegated to Segunda División B. It also decides the teams which placed 16th to be relegated to the 2017–18 Tercera División. Format The four group winners have the opportunity to promote directly and become the overall Segunda División B champion.
