2011 Tercera División Play-offs
The 2011 Tercera División play-offs to Segunda División B from Tercera División (Promotion play-offs) were the final playoffs for the promotion from 2010–11 Tercera División to 2011–12 Segunda División B. The first four teams in each group took part in the play-off. Format The eighteen group winners had the opportunity to be promoted directly to Segunda División B. The eighteen group winners were drawn into a two-legged series where the nine winners promoted to Segunda División B. The nine losing clubs entered the play-off round for the last nine promotion spots. The eighteen runners-up were drawn against one of the seventeen fourth-placed clubs outside their group and the eighteen third-placed clubs were drawn against one another in a two-legged series. The twenty-seven winners advanced with the nine losing clubs from the ''champions' series'' to determine the eighteen teams that entered the last two-legged series for the last nine promotion spots. 2010–11 Tercera División
The 2010–11 Tercera División was the fourth tier of football in Spain. Play started on 27 August 2010 and the season ended on 26 June 2011 with the promotion play-off finals. Overview There were 360 clubs competing in Tercera División (Third division) in the 2010–11 season, divided into 18 regional groups, accommodating between 19 and 21 clubs. Burgos Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Founded in 1985, it started to play in 1994. It currently plays in Segunda División, holding home matches at the ''Estadio El Plantío'', with a capacity of 12,646. Rayo Cantabria, formerly known as Real Racing Club de Santander "B" is the reserve team of Racing de Santander, a Spanish football team based in Santander, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Alhaurín de la Torre Club de Fútbol is a Spanish football team based in Alhaurín de la Torre, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded in 1969, it currently plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 9, holding home matches at '' Estadio Los Manantiales'', with a 2,500-seat capacity. History On 4 December 1969, ''Lauro Club de Fútbol'' was founded, being later renamed into ''Alhaurín de la Torre Club de Fútbol''. Centro Cultural e Deportivo Cerceda was a Spanish football club based in Cerceda, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1968, it last played in Segunda División B – Group 1, holding home games at ''Estadio O Roxo'', which has a capacity of 2,500. History Cerceda made their debut in Tercera División in 1994. After 23 consecutive years playing in this league and 12 failed attempts to promote to Segunda División B, the club would finally play in the third tier after achieving a place by paying €133,000.
