Belgium competed in every Junior Eurovision Song Contest before withdrawing 2013. The country's best result was in , when Laura Omloop came 4th with "Zo verliefd". VRT (broadcaster)
The VRT (), is the national public-service broadcaster for the Flemish Community of Belgium. History VRT is the successor to a succession of organisations. The Belgian National Institute of Radio Broadcasting was known as the Nationaal Instituut voor de Radio-omroep (NIR) in Flemish and the L'Institut National de Radiodiffusion (INR) in French, was founded in 1930 and existed until 1960. Ketnet
Ketnet is a Dutch-language public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. It broadcasts a mix of locally produced and imported productions on the VRT3 channel from 6am until 8pm. On 1 December 1997, BRTN 2 was replaced by Canvas and Ketnet. On 1 May 2012, Ketnet has been moved on a new channel, timesharing with Op 12. Op 12 closed on 31 December 2014. The preschool programmes are broadcast on Ketnet Junior between 10am to 7pm on Canvas. Belgium was represented by Jill Van Vooren and Lauren De Ruyck in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Get Up!". Tom De Cock
Tom De Cock (born 23 September 1983 in Schoten) is a Flemish radio DJ, television host and writer. At the age of 16 he published his first novel "De Openbaring" ("The Revelation"). Radio In 2008 he started as a radio DJ at the public radio station Donna, where he covered the Saturday afternoon slot from 3 to 8 pm. One year later, the station was shut down and replaced by MNM, where De Cock had a late night talkshow called ''De Cock Late Night'', and a weekend programma named "Weekend De Cock". Oscar and the Wolf is the moniker for Belgian solo artist Max Colombie. André Vermeulen
André Leopold Adiel Vermeulen (born 25 October 1955 in Bruges) is a Belgian-Flemish journalist and television personality for VRT. Between 1991 and 2013, Vermeulen following Luc Appermont had been the Flemish commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest. Due to unknown reasons in 1996, Vermeulen was unable to commentate on the 1996 Contest with Michel Follet and Johan Verstreken filling in, however returning to commentate on the 1997 Contest, since the 1998 Contest Vermeulen has co-commentated the event with other television presenters including Bart Peeters and Tom De Cock.
