Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü, shortly Ankara BB SK, is a multi-sports club owned by the Metropolitan Municipality of Ankara in Turkey. Founded in 1978 as a football only club, it expanded by opening many other sport sections throughout its history. It was formerly named BB Ankaraspor. History Men's football (1978) The club's first sport activity was in football rstablishing the men's football side Ankaraspor in 1878. The team's name changed a number of times, so in 1984 it was renamed to "Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü". In 1998, the name switched to "Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankaraspor Kulübü. Ankara ( , ; ), historically known as Ancyra and Angora, is the capital of Turkey. Ankara Ice Skating Palace ( tr, G.S.İ.M. Buz Pateni Sarayı, formerly ''Belpa Buz Pateni Sarayı'') is an indoor ice skating and ice hockey arena located in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Ankara, Turkey. It was opened in 1989 and has a capacity of about 1,150 people. It was built by the Municipality of Ankara as the first Olympic size ice arena in Turkey. In 2001, the venue was handed over to the Youth and Sports Directorate (G.S.I.M.) of Ankara Province. Ankara Ice Palace is home to a variety of ice sports events in Ankara including Turkish ice hockey leagues for men's, women's and junior's. Bahattin Köse (born 26 August 1990) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a striker or right winger for Ankaraspor. Career Köse began his career with TuS Wischerhöfen and signed in summer 2008 for Rot Weiss Ahlen. He made his professional debut in a DFB-Pokal match on 22 September 2009 against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. On 6 October 2009, Köse signed his first professional contract. In summer 2011, he switched teams and joined Arminia Bielefeld. In May 2012, Köse signed with R.A.E.C. Mons in the Belgian First Division A, on a two-year contract. Melike Günal (born 5 April 1998) is a Turkish weightlifter competing in the women's +87 kg division. She is a member of ASKİ Spor in Ankara. Early life Melike Günal was born in Kahramanmaraş, southeastern Turkey on 5 April 1998. She studied Physical Education at Adıyaman University. She initially began with wrestling sport.
