Afghan Premier League
The Afghan Premier League (APL), also known as Rahmani Foundation Afghan Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional men's soccer league run by the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF). It is the country's primary competition for the sport. The competition commenced in September 2012. The league is currently contested by eight teams. Seasons usually runs from September, followed by final series involving two highest-placed teams in each group. National champion gains qualification into the continental competition, AFC Cup. Most games are played at the Afghanistan Football Federation Stadium in Kabul. Since the league's inaugural season, a total of three clubs have been crowned Afghan Premier League champions. The current champions, Shaheen Asmayee, have a record 6 premier league titles. The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Tolo TV
TOLO ( fa, طلوع, , sunrise) is a commercial television station operated by MOBY Group in Afghanistan. Launched in 2004, it became one of the first commercial stations in the country and laid the foundation for an accessible media outlet by offering a large library of shows. A Dari Persian language channel led and owned by Tajiks, it is Afghanistan's most popular television channel. The station was launched in Kabul, and as of November 2007 it was broadcasting in 14 cities in Afghanistan on free-to-air and throughout the region by terrestrial antenna and by satellite. Its sister channels are TOLOnews, on air all day and Lemar TV, in the Pashto language. TOLO was the subject of documentary film in 2012 called ''The Network'', by Eva Orner. The 2017 Afghan Premier League was the sixth season of Afghan Premier League, the Afghan league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The 2013 Afghan Premier League was the second season of Afghan Premier League, the Afghan league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The season began on 22 August 2013 with the group stage and ended the season with the final on 11 October 2013. Toofaan Harirod head into the season as the defending champions. The Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL, also known as the Alokozay Cola Shpageeza Cricket League for sponsorship reasons and Etisalat Sixes T20) ( ps, شپږیزه کرکټ لیګ) is a Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the Afghanistan Cricket Board every year in Afghanistan.
