Kadri Mälk
Kadri Mälk (27 January 1958 – 1 January 2023) was an Estonian artist and jewellery designer. Life and career Mälk was born in Tallinn and began her studies at the Tartu Art School in 1977 and graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1986, studying under professor Leili Kuldkepp. Between 1986 and 1993, Mälk worked as a freelance artist. In 1993, she enrolled at the Lahti Design Institute in Finland, studying gemmology under the direction of Esko Timonen and completed her studies at Bernd Munsteiner's lapidary studio in Germany. Mälk was assigned to the Estonian Academy of Arts from 1989 and was also a professor in the jewellery department at the school from 1996. Mälk had both solo and group exhibitions throughout the world. 2022–23 Latvian–Estonian Basketball League
The 2022–23 Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, known as the Paf (company), Paf Latvian–Estonian Basketball League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season of the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, the premier basketball competition for men's teams in Latvia and Estonia. Nine Estonian and six Latvian teams were joined by Ukrainian team BC Prometey, who went on to win the league. Competition format The regular season consisted of two rounds, followed by the quarter-finals and the Final Four. 2022–23 European North Basketball League
2022–23 European North Basketball League was the second season of the European North Basketball League, a regional basketball competition patronised by FIBA. In this season were 15 teams from 8 countries ( Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kosovo and Israel). They were divided into two groups. Ukraine, Israel and Kosovo had a debutant in this competition, while Russian and Belarus teams were banned from competition this season, due to 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Balticconnector
Balticconnector is a bi-directional natural gas pipeline between Ingå, Finland and Paldiski, Estonia. It connects Estonian and Finnish gas grids. The pipeline provides Finland with access to the Latvian natural gas storage facility at Inčukalns. In addition, the pipeline enables construction of the regional liquefied natural gas terminal. History The project was proposed originally by the Finnish natural gas company Gasum in cooperation with Eesti Gaas of Estonia. After implementation of the EU third energy package, EG Võrguteenus, a former subsidiary of Eesti Gaas, replaced the latter.
