2022–23 Indian Super League
The 2022–23 Indian Super League is the ninth season of the Indian Super League, the first season as the only top division, and the 27th season of top tier Indian football. It commenced on 7 October 2022 and is scheduled to end in March 2023. Jamshedpur are the defending premiers, and Hyderabad are the defending champions. Changes from last season * Six instead of four clubs will compete for the playoffs. The top two clubs qualify directly for the playoffs, while the next four sides will play a single-legged match to decide the remaining two teams for the semifinals. The third-ranked team will play against the sixth-ranked team. Ikhsan bin Fandi Ahmad (born 9 April 1999), more commonly known as Ikhsan Fandi or mononymously as Ikhsan, is a Singaporean professional footballer who plays as a striker for Thai League 1 club BG Pathum United and the Singapore national team. Muhammed Ashique Kuruniyan (born 14 June 1997) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan SG and the India national team. Ishan Pandita (born 26 May 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters and the India national team. Club career Early and youth career Pandita moved to the Philippines, where he attended British school in Manila and took football training. Manvir Singh (born 6 November 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan SG and the India national team. Early life Manvir Singh was born in Duhre (Duhra) village of Sangrur district of Punjab to his father Kuldip Singh. He has one sibling, a brother named Harkamal Singh. Manvir was inspired by his footballer father to take up the football.
