2019–20 Armenian Premier League
The 2019–20 Armenian Premier League season was the 28th since its establishment. Season events On 21 February, the Football Federation of Armenia announced that FC Yerevan had withdrawn from the league due to financial and technical problems. On 12 March 2020, the Football Federation of Armenia announced that all Armenian Premier League games had been postponed until 23 March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 10 July, Lori announced that 17 of the players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19, and as a result the whole club was now isolating, and as a result their last game of the season, scheduled for 14 July against Ararat Yerevan was cancelled with the points not being awarded to either team. UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying Group J
Group J of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying was one of the ten groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2020 finals tournament. Group J consisted of six teams: Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Greece, Italy and Liechtenstein, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The top two teams, Italy and Finland, qualified directly for the finals. Unlike previous editions, the participants of the play-offs were not decided based on results from the qualifying group stage, but instead based on their performance in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League. Italy won all ten of their matches, becoming only the sixth national side to qualify for a European Championship with a 100% record, and the seventh instance, after France (1992 and 2004), Czech Republic (2000), Germany, Spain ( both 2012) and England (2016). The Yerevan Football Academy Stadium, officially the FFA Technical Center-Academy Stadium ( hy, ՀՖՖ Տեխնիկական-կենտրոն ակադեմիայի մարզադաշտ), commonly known as the Yerevan Football Academy Stadium or the Avan Academy Stadium, is an all-seater football stadium in Yerevan, Armenia. Artur Gegamovych Danielyan ( arm, Արթուր Դանիելյան; uk, Артур Гегамович Данієлян; born 9 February 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Noah. Born in Ukraine, he has represented Armenia at youth level. Club career Danielyan is the product of the FC Molod Poltava sportive school system. Gor Malakyan ( hy, Գոռ Մալաքյան; born 12 June 1994) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays for Ararat Yerevan and the Armenia national team. Biography Gor Malakyan was born on 12 June 1994 in Yerevan, Armenia. He is the younger brother of current teammate Edgar Malakyan, with whom he has also shared squad in FC Pyunik (2011/12), Alashkert FC (2014), FC Shirak (2015) and the Armenia national football team (2016-?).
