Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea. Juan Orlando Hernández
Juan Orlando Hernández Alvarado (; born 28 October 1968), also known as JOH, is a Honduran lawyer and politician who served as President of Honduras from 2014 to 2022. A member of the National Party, Hernández previously served as the president of the National Congress of Honduras between January 2010 and June 2013, when he was given permission by the Congress to absent himself from all responsibilities in the Congress to dedicate himself to his presidential campaign. He announced that he would seek re-election in 2017, after the Supreme Court allowed it in April 2015. On 15 December 2016, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal decided, by two votes to one, to allow Hernández to stand in the primary elections by the National Party of Honduras on 12 March 2017. Mauricio Oliva Herrera (born 8 March 1951 in Tegucigalpa) is a Honduran surgeon and politician. Rosa Elena Bonilla Ávila, also known as Rosa Elena de Lobo (born 2 February 1967), a Honduran politician and interior designer, is the wife of the 54th president of Honduras, Porfirio Lobo and former First Lady of Honduras. Biography Rosa was born on 2 February 1967 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Fernando Bonilla Martínez and Maria Elena Avila. She spent her childhood in El Basque neighborhood and studied at "Escuela 14 de julio". She graduated in interior designing from "Instituto Alfa", Tegucigalpa in 1987. Jaime Rolando Rosenthal Oliva (May 5, 1936 – January 12, 2019) was a Honduran politician, and leader of one of Liberal Party of Honduras's (PLH) wings, and was a perennial candidate for President. On March 20, 1974 he founded the Banco Continental. On October 7, 2015, Rosenthal was labeled a "specially designated narcotics trafficker" under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act.
