Galguduud
Galguduud ( so, Galgaduud, ar, ุฌู„ุฌุฏูˆุฏ, it, Galgudud or ''Ghelgudud'') is an administrative region ('' gobol'') of Galmudug state in central Somalia. Its administrative capital is Dusmareb. The largest town in the region is Abudwak, which lies on the north-westernmost point of the region. Galguduud is bordered by Ethiopia, the Somali regions of Mudug; Hiran, Middle Shebelle (Shabeellaha Dhexe), and the Indian Ocean. The region of Galgaduud and southern half of Mudug formed the Galmudug State by 2016, which considers itself an autonomous state within the larger Federal Republic of Somalia, as defined by the Provisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Abbas Abdullahi Sheikh Siraji ( Somali: ''Cabaas Cabdulaahi Sheekh Siraaji''; Arabic: (ุนุจุงุณ ุนุจุฏ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุดูŠุฎ ุณุฑุงุฌ) born 8 May 1984 โ€“ 3 May 2017) was a Somali politician who briefly served as the Minister of Public Works and Reconstruction until he was shot dead in Mogadishu in 2017. Personal life Born to a prestigious religious family of the Rahanweyn clan, Abbas spent an overwhelming majority of his life living in Dadaab Refugee Camps. By the age of 5, his parents moved with him and his siblings to Liboi Refugee camps in 1991 and later relocated to Dadaab refugee camp in 1992. Yusuf Garaad Omar ( so, Yuusuf Garaad Cumar, ar, ูŠูˆุณู ุฌุฑุงุฏ ุนู…ุฑ) (born 26 June 1960 in Mogadishu) is a Somali journalist, diplomat and politician. He previously served as Somalia ambassador to the United Nations and was a senior advisor to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. He was the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs from March 2017 until he was fired by then Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire in January 2018.
