2013 HP Open
The 2013 HP Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts sponsored by Hewlett-Packard. It was the fifth edition of the HP Open, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2013 WTA Tour. It was held at the Utsubo Tennis Center in Osaka, Japan, from October 7 through October 13, 2013. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Monica Puig
Monica Puig Marchán, (born September 27, 1993) is a Puerto Rican former professional tennis player. She is the first Puerto Rican in history to win a gold medal at the Olympics while representing Puerto Rico, having done so in 2016 at the women's singles event. She is also a Central American and Caribbean champion and Pan American silver medalist. Having turned professional in 2010, Puig won two WTA singles titles and six ITF singles titles. On 26 September 2016, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 27. On 25 May 2015, she peaked at No. 210 in the doubles rankings. She retired as a professional tennis player on 13 June 2022. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Puig won the gold medal, the ninth overall medal at the Games for Puerto Rico. Yaroslava Vyacheslavovna Shvedova (; born 12 September 1987) is a Kazakhstani former professional tennis player. Before 2008, she represented her country of birth, Russia. She won one singles title and 13 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, plus one singles and one doubles title on WTA 125 tournaments, as well as four singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Shahar Pe'er ( he, שחר פאר, ; born ) is an Israeli retired tennis player. Pe'er won five singles and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as four singles and three doubles titles on the ITF circuit in her career. A former top-ten doubles player, King won both the Wimbledon and US Open women's doubles titles in 2010 with partner Yaroslava Shvedova, with whom she also reached the final of the 2011 US Open.
