The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates student athletics among about 1,100 schools in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The organization is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Until 1957, the NCAA was a single division for all schools. That year, the NCAA split into the University Division and the College Division. 2011–12 The Citadel Bulldogs Basketball Team
The 2011–12 The Citadel Bulldogs basketball team represented The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in the 2011-12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The 2011–12 Davidson Wildcats men's basketball team represented Davidson College in NCAA men's Division I competition. NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with large budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Divisions II and III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition. The 2011–12 UNC Greensboro Spartans men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Greensboro during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
