Raisa Obodovskaja
Raisa Andreevna Obodovskaya (russian: Раиса Андреевна Ободовская; 6 August 1948 – 30 July 2012) was a Soviet track and road cyclist. Between 1967 and 1970 she won two gold and two silver medals in the 3 km individual pursuit at world championships, as well as a bronze in the road race in 1970. In November 1969 she married Yury Gladkov, and later gave birth to daughters Marina and Tanya. She resumed competitions in the late 1970s and won three national titles in road events in 1979–1981. She retired in 1984 and later worked as a director of sports school in Kharkiv. UCI Road World Championships – Women's Road Race
The UCI Road World Championships Elite Women's Road Race is a one-day event for professional cyclists that takes place annually. The winner is considered the ''World Cycling Champion'' (or ''World Road Cycling Champion'') and earns the right to wear the ''Rainbow Jersey'' for a full year in road race or stage events. The event is a single 'mass start' road race with the winner being the first across the line at the completion of the full race distance. Tino Tabak is a Dutch-born New Zealand cyclist who raced in the Tour de France in the 1970s. Biography Born Jentinus (Tino) Johannes Tabak in Egmond aan Zee in the Netherlands on 6 May 1946, he emigrated with his father Gerben and mother Hendrika to New Zealand in December 1952, aged 6. Tino's younger brother Corrie was born in New Zealand. From the age of 10 he aspired to race in the Tour de France. At the age of 19, Tabak won the 1965 Senior New Zealand Road Cycling Championships. He won the Tour of Southland (youngest rider ever) in 1965, then again in 1966 and 1967. He also won the Tour of Manawatu in 1966 and 1967. Fedor Iwan den Hertog (20 April 194612 February 2011) was a Dutch racing cyclist. His sporting career began with De Ijsselstreek Wezep.
