Christian Braunmann Tullin
Christian Braunmann Tullin (6 September 1728 – 21 January 1765) was a Norwegian businessman and poet. He was regarded as one of Denmark-Norway's most important poetic talents by his contemporaries. Biography Tullin was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. His parents were Gulbrand Hansen Tullins (1694-1742) and Ragnhild Hansdatter Dehli (1695-1765). His father, who originated in the rural district of Ringebu, had become a wealthy merchant. Tullin attended Christiania Cathedral School and later graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a theology diploma in 1748. After his father's death, his mother married Claus Therkelsen Koefoed, who was a customs official. Together with his step-father, in 1750 Tullin started Faabro Pudder- og Stivelsesfabrik, a company which produced powder, starch and nails. It was located at Granfossen on Lysakerelva. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles. Christian Ancher
Christian Ancher (27 July 1711 – 9 January 1765) was a Norwegian merchant, timber trader and ship owner. Biography Ancher was born in Søndre Land in Oppland, Norway. He was the son of Bernt Ancher (1680–1724) and Karen Tanche (1685–1758). The son of a vicar in the Church of Norway, he trained in the trading house established by cousins James Collett (1655–1727) and Peder Leuch (1692–1746) in Christiania (now Oslo). He eventually became the largest timber trader in Christiania. He was also quite active in shipping. He is commonly associated with his residence, Paléet Manor near Bjørvika, which later was used as a Royal residence. Personal life He was married to Karen Elieson (1723–1806). Osmund Andersen Lømsland
Osmund Andersen Lømsland (2 July 1765 – 25 August 1841) was a Norwegian farmer who served as a representative at the Norwegian Constituent Assembly. Osmund Andersen Lømsland was born at the village of Mosby in Oddernes, a borough in Kristiansand, Norway. He was engaged in farming. In 1806, he bought the farm Lømsland at Tveit in Vest-Agder where he remained throughout his life. About 1790, Osmund Andersen was married with Anna Torstensdatter Lauvsland from the parish of Finsland (1766-1837). The couple had seven children born in the period 1790- 1803, of whom only three lived into adulthood. He was elected to the Norwegian Constituent Assembly in 1814, representing the constituency of Mandals Amt (now Vest-Agder Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county.
