Povl Badstuber
Povl Badstuber (1685 – 3 December 1762) was a Danish coppersmith and manufacturer. Early life and education Badstuber was born in Copenhagen in 1685 to coppersmith Lorentz Badstuber (died 1692) and Anna Andreasdatter Knock (died 1725, married a second time to the merchant Jacob Zitzke, died 1708). He learned the trade from his father and inherited the father's property in Nørregade. Career In 1719, Badstuber had title of court coppersmith. His works as such included the copper roof on Christian VI's Christiansborg Palace. Badstuber 's father had already in the 1680s taken over the management Nymølle Copper Mill under Frederiksdal. He expanded his business with the acquisition of Brede Works in 1819 and obtained a monopoly on the production of copper and brass goods on the Danish islands. In 1738, when Frederikdal passed out of royal ownership, Badstuber was granted ownership of Nymølle to facilitate the establishment of a production of scythes and wire. He also owned f ...

Peder Hansen Resen
Peder Hansen Resen (17 June 1625 – 1 June 1688) was the Danish historian, legal scholar and the president's residence in the city. He was the son of Bishop Hans Hansen Resen. Youth and education After private tuition, he was in 1641 placed in the Vor Frue Skole, where he in 1643 passed to the university. In 1645 he took theological certificate (teologisk attestats) and spent a year at the Vor Frue Skole. Then in May 1647, accompanied by Rasmus Bartholin, he set off on a trip abroad, first to The Netherlands where Resen made a four-year stay in Leiden, and concentrated on philology and jurisprudence. There he met up in 1651 with his three brothers, of whom Elias was drowned on an excursion to Amsterdam. Soon after that, Resen traveled to France and spent several months in Paris. He went on to Orléans, undertook a journey with Corfitz Trolle and his steward Conrad Hesse through France and Spain. Peder Pedersen Syv (also spelled Siuf) or in Latin Petrus Petri Septimius (22 February 1631 – 17 February 1702) was a Danish philologist, folklorist and priest, known for his collections of Danish proverbs and folksongs, and his contributions to the development of Danish as a written language. Life Peder Syv's father was an indentured peasant in the village of Syv (today called Kirke Syv) near Roskilde – probably one Peder Olufsen, and his mother Anna Mortensdatter. The family seems to have been fairly well off for their social class, and several of Peder's siblings were able to take up professions. One of his brothers seems to have been an uneasy soul, and died on a trip to the Danish East Indian colonies in 1674. Ludvig Rosenkrantz
Ludvig Rosenkrantz (18 April 1628 – 23 August 1685) was a Danish-born noble, military officer, civil servant, and land owner who settled in Norway. He was a member of the noble Rosenkrantz family and the first Baron of Norway. Biography Ludvig Holgerssøn Rosenkrantz was born in Odense, Denmark. He was a member of one of the old families of nobility in Denmark. His parents were Colonel Holger Frederiksen Rosenkrantz (1599–1634) and Justine Maximiliansdatter van der Lauwick. As the son of nobility, Rosenkrantz received royal funding to travel abroad and educate himself to become an officer in the Norwegian army. He became a captain in 1654 and in 1658 he was appointed by King Frederick III of Denmark to be war commander of Nordafjells. Ove Ramel (1637 – 29 January 1685) was a Danish landowner. Biography Ramel (also written Offue Rommel and Rammel) was the son of Privy Counsellor Henrik Ramel (1601–1653) and Margrethe Skeel (died 1671 or later). He attended Sorø Academy in 1653–1656 and then went abroad to continue his education enrolling at the University of Orléans in 1659. After Denmark's loss of Scania/Skåne to Sweden in 1660, Ramel was naturalized after swearing his loyalty to the Swedish king. Ramel married Mette Rosenkrantz (12 March 1646 – 25 January 1730), daughter of Erik Rosenkrantz of Rosenholm (1612–1681) and Margrethe Skeel ( 1626–1647).
