C. Wesley Morgan
Clinton Wesley Morgan (born July 23, 1950) is an American businessman and politician from the state of Kentucky. A member of the Republican Party, Morgan is a former member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 81st district. Early life and career Morgan grew up in Leslie County, Kentucky. He graduated from Leslie County High School, Cumberland College, and Eastern Kentucky University. After working as a criminal investigator for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms as a young man, Morgan returned to Richmond, Kentucky, and opened a liquor store in 1982. Eventually, he opened a large business called Liquor World and became wealthy. He expanded Liquor World into a chain of four stores. Rita H. Smart (born November 13, 1948, in Jessamine County, Kentucky) is an American politician and a former Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives who represented district 81 from 2011 to 2016. She was unseated by C. Wesley Morgan of Richmond in 2016. Education Smart earned her BS from Eastern Kentucky University and her MS from the University of Kentucky. Addison Mitchell McConnell III (born February 20, 1942) is an American politician and retired attorney serving as the senior United States senator from Kentucky and the Senate minority leader since 2021. Currently in his seventh term, McConnell has held the seat since 1985. WKYT
WKYT-TV (channel 27) is a television station in Lexington, Kentucky, United States, affiliated with CBS and The CW. The station is owned by Gray Television, and maintains studios and transmitter facilities on Winchester Road (US 60) near I-75 on the east side of Lexington. In addition to WKYT-TV, Gray owns WYMT-TV (channel 57) in Hazard, Kentucky, a separate CBS affiliate serving eastern Kentucky with its own syndicated programming inventory and local newscasts. While the authorization to build channel 27 in Lexington was given in 1953, the original owner, radio station WLAP, opted to hold off on construction for economic reasons.
