C. Vidyasagar Rao
Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao (born 12 February 1941) is an Indian politician from Telangana, associated with Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as Governor of Maharashtra from 2014 to 2019. As a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he had served as a Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government from 1999. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998 and 1999 (13th Lok Sabha) from Karimnagar (Lok Sabha constituency). Early life He was born in Nagaram, Sircilla district on 12 February 1941 to C. Srinivasa Rao and Chandramma. He has three brothers. He completed his schooling in Vemulawada, PUC in Hyderabad, B.Sc. in Nanded of Maharashtra and later studied law at Osmania University. Vemulwada, Karimnagar District
Vemulawada is an ancient historical and a famous pilgrimage census town in Rajanna Sircilla district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of Vemulawada Mandal and Revenue Division. The place is notable for Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy temple, constructed between 760 and 973 CE, and a site of pilgrimage for Hindu worshipers. It also has ancient temples of Bheemeswara, Nagareswara and Pochamma nearby the main temple of Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy. It was the capital of Vemulawada Chalukyas, that ruled present day Telangana, parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra between 7 and 10 century CE. Chennamaneni Rajeshwara Rao
Chennamaneni Rajeshwara Rao (31 August 1923 in Marupaka - 9 May 2016 in Hyderabad) was an Indian communist leader and politician from the state of Telangana (former part of Andhra Pradesh). Between 1957 and 2004 he got elected six times to the State Legislative Assembly. Rajeshwara Rao was active in the Quit India Movement and the struggle against the Nizam's rule of Hyderabad. During the resistance he spent 5 years underground and in jail before entering electoral politics following the integration of Hyderabad state into the Indian Union. He was a long-time member of the Communist Party of India and in 1999 joined the Telugu Desam Party. He retired from active politics in 2009.
