C. R. Narasimhan
Chakravarti Rajagopalachari Narasimhan (1909–1989) was an Indian politician, freedom-fighter and member of the Indian Parliament from 1952 to 1962. He was the son of Indian statesman Chakravarti Rajagopalachari. Early life Narasimhan was born in Salem in 1909 to Chakravarti Rajagopalachari and Chakravarti Alamelu Mangamma. Rajagopalachari was a lawyer and member of the Salem municipality at that time. Narasimhan joined the Indian independence movement in 1920 at the age of 11 and was imprisoned for his participation in the 1930 Vedaranyam Salt Satyagraha. Post-independence politics In 1951, Narasimhan stood for the Lok Sabha elections from Krishnagiri parliamentary constituency and was elected by a margin of 6,194 votes over his nearest rival, C. Doraisami Gounder. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1957 by a close margin of 367 votes over his nearest rival G. D. Naidu and served till 1962 when he lost his seat to K. Telugu Language
Telugu (; , ) is a Dravidian language spoken by Telugu people predominantly living in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it is also the official language. It is the most widely spoken member of the Dravidian language family and one of the twenty-two scheduled languages of the Republic of India. Rajmohan Gandhi
Rajmohan Gandhi (born 7 August 1935) is an Indian biographer, historian, and research professor at the Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, US. His paternal grandfather is Mahatma Gandhi, and his maternal grandfather is Chakravarthi Rajagopalachari. He is also a scholar in residence at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Early life Rajmohan Gandhi was born 7 August 1935 in New Delhi, to Devdas and Lakshmi Gandhi. His father was the managing editor of the ''Hindustan Times''. Rajmohan Gandhi attended St. Stephen's College. His maternal grandfather was C. Rajagopalachari, second Governor General of India, after Lord Louis Mountbatten, who was one of the foremost associates of Mahatma Gandhi. Ramchandra Gandhi
Ramchandra Gandhi (9 June 1937 – 13 June 2007) was an Indian philosopher. He was the son of Devdas Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi's youngest son) and Lakshmi (daughter of Rajaji) and also brother of Rajmohan Gandhi, Gopalkrishna Gandhi and Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee. Ramchandra Gandhi obtained his doctoral degree in philosophy from Oxford where he was a student of Peter Strawson. He is known for founding the philosophy department at the University of Hyderabad. He also taught at Visva-Bharati University, Panjab University, California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California, and Bangalore University. He died at the India International Centre on 13 June 2007, four days after his 70th birthday. Gopalkrishna Devadas Gandhi (born 22 April 1945) is a former administrator and diplomat who served as the 22nd Governor of West Bengal serving from 2004 to 2009.
