Büyük Vatankhah
Büyük Vatankhah ( fa, بیوک وطنخواه) or Ezzatollah Vatankhah ( fa, عزت الله وطنخواه) (born February 1, 1942 in Tabriz, Iran) is a retired Iranian football player and currently a scouter. He has played in Rah Ahan, Taj, Shahin and Persepolis. After he retired in 1972, he became manager of Persepolis U20 team and then selected as first-team manager in 1975. He is the first Iranian manager that could win Iranian top division league. His younger brother, Reza, was a team mate at Persepolis for many years. Büyük Vatankhah is part of the first generation of contemporary Iranian football players. According to interviews he has given to Iranian press, football was his passion from an early age, a sentiment which angered his traditional father who wanted his son to pursue more "mainstream" activities. Hassan Habibi (footballer)
Hassan Habibi ( fa, حسن حبیبی, born February 7, 1939) is a retired Iranian association football player and manager. Playing career Habibi was born in Kerman, but at the age of four his family moved to Tehran, where his father found a job as a clerk for the Ministry of Health. He started his football career with Shahin F.C. and was selected to play for the national team in 1958. In 1960, he joined Taj S.C. where he played for a few seasons. In 1964, he joined PAS Tehran and played there until 1971, when he retired. He was the captain of the national teams that competed at the 1964 Summer Olympic Games, and won the silver medal at the 1966 Asian Games and the gold medal at the 1968 Asian Cup. Coaching career After retiring from competitions Habibi coached PAS Tehran. In 1979, he joined the Iran national football team, which then qualified for the 1980 Summer Olympics. Alan Rogers (born 31 December 1924) is an English former Football (soccer), football manager who was Head-Coach of Persepolis F.C. between 1971 and 1974. Alex Vatanka ( fa, آلکس وطنخواه) is a senior fellow and director of the Iran program at the Middle East Institute in Washington D.C. He specializes in Iranian domestic and regional policies.
